The Norfolk Truffle Company
Have you heard the one about the accountant who ran away to join the circus? Well, I preferred to live the chocoholic’s dream, so when I ran away it was to make delicious hand-made truffles instead!
The Norfolk Truffle Company was a small part of the business I was working for which, having started out producing hand-made chocolates, had gone on to specialise in organic truffles.
I was so impressed with the quality and flavour that when the owner decided to sell the original business I took off my accountants hat to learn the art of truffle making from a very experienced, top class confectioner.
2006 saw the beginning of this new era for The Norfolk Truffle Company and I was delighted when my mentor asked to join the company to share her truffle making skills.
Since then, business has been good. The majority of our trade is with chocolate shops around the country, but we also sell direct at the Farmers Market in Beccles and occasional other local events.
